Simple judgment method: jack up the front wheel, adjust the brake clearance to the contact friction between the brake drum and the friction plate, rotate the brake drum for one week to see if there is any obvious blocking point (slight blocking is a normal
phenomenon), if there is any obvious blocking point, it is judged that the front axle brake drum of the automobile is out of round.
Loosen the hub nut (tire nut: tire rim combination and brake drum hub combination link fastening nut) in the blocking state, let stand for 3-5 minutes, and rotate the brake drum. If the blocking point is reduced or eliminated, it is determined that the
rim interferes with the front axle brake drum of the automobile and is out of round.
Judging method of automobile front axle brake drum failure standard: use specific tooling, dial indicator and magnetic gauge seat to measure the diameter jump of automobile front axle brake drum. if the brake diameter is less than 400 mm, the brake surface
jump ≤0.17 (0.15mm required: only when the brake surface jump exceeds 0.17mm after road test verification) is the qualified standard. if the brake diameter of automobile front axle ≥400mm, the brake surface jump ≤0.25 (0.2mm required: 0.25mm determined
by road test verification) is the qualified standard (only refers to the failed vehicle).
